*As stated in the previous blog post, DC Metro is experiencing some scheduled shutdowns while they implement the new SafeTrack program.
The SafeTrack is an extensive maintenance program designed to catch-up sections of the track that have been relatively neglected. As of July 12th DC Metro is on their fourth surge which affects the Yellow and Blue lines from the Reagan National Airport to Braddock Road Metro Stations. The fourth surge is a 7 day event which will continue through the 18th and bring us into the 12 day long fifth surge- beginning on the 20th that Stations.
Fear not, in lieu of trains, Metro is offering free shuttle buses traveling between metro stations during the surge that connect the stop with the Reagan National and Pentagon City stations. In fact, our Crystal City property is located directly across from a bus station with a free MetroWay Shuttle bus that travels to Braddock Road Metro Station.
Crystal City Metro station, which will reopen on July 19th, is just a brief, ten minute walk from The Concord. Pentagon City Metro station, also reopening July 19th is an even shorter, seven minute, walk from The Gramercy.
