This mall smells like Christmas.
No really, it does. Christmas might not even be on your radar in the middle of a blistering summer…but for me Christmas is all I can think about. I’m dreaming of the cold. I’m dreaming of some snow gently doting the streets with each flake until the ground is covered is wet, cold slush. Walking around in this blistering heat has my mind projecting a mirage of an oasis. I can see it just around the corner. Somewhere that I can just get out of this sun for a moment! I’m sure as you walk around you’ll feel the same way at one point or another. I have news though! I found my oasis. I’m going to call it MY oasis because I really don’t want to share it. Ok. I guess it can be our oasis… considering it’s literally my job to let you in on this great place.
The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is a mall- a great mall. It has anything you need in a mall. High end stores, a fully stocked food court, a metro, a day spa and a handful of amazing restaurants. It’s also extremely aesthetically pleasing.
If you’re staying with Crystal Quarters Corporate Housing
If you’re staying with Crystal Quarters Corporate Housing at The Gramercy, this place is only a 10 minute walk away! Open and filled with natural light combined with the cool AC-plus the scent of delicious cinnamon buns being taken out of the ovens over at Cinnabon- make this mall my favorite place to escape to on a hot day.
Ok Cinnabon isn’t the only thing that is contributes to this place’s intoxicatingly delicious smell. There's actually a few different places that I can never resist, and I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to either. It’s the smell! I’m telling you. Cinnabon sits among a number of diet-busting sweet shops, including (two) Auntie Anne’s, Garrett Popcorn, Godiva, Häagen-Daz, Shake Shack, and coming soon (10/1/2016) is a place called Sugar Factory. If you’ve never heard of Sugar Factory I have to tell you that they serve Red Velvet Pancakes. And Banana Split Crepes. Also something called a ‘smoking candy goblet.’ I don’t know what that is but it’s boozy and I saw a picture of Angela Simmons with one so I’m pretty much sold.
Among the fashion retailers are a crop of great places, like Ann Taylor, Armani Exchange, Banana Republic, Hugo Boss, Coach, Free People, J. Crew, Kate Spade, and more. There’s stuff for the kids too, including but not limited to; a Lego store, Kids Foot Locker, GAP kids, Gamestop, and Curious Kids Toys. Shop til’ you drop because this huge (yet not overwhelming) mall is filled with fantastic places to get your new gear and as always there’s something for everybody.
It’s all close by when you’re staying in a Crystal Quarters furnished apartment, where it is simply better than a hotel.
End your day at Harry’s Smokehouse, Sine Irish Pug & Restaurant, Ristorante Murali, Champps Amercana, or any of the numerous restaurants in or near The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. It’s all close by when you’re staying in a Crystal Quarters furnished apartment, where it is simply better than a hotel.
